CarolinaCare Bullies is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, comprised of multiple foster homes that exist throughout the state of North Carolina. CCB strives to decrease the pit bull euthanasia rate in North Carolina shelters by broadening the understanding of bully breeds; offering support to owners of bully breeds; caring for deserving pit bulls in the loving homes of generous foster families; and placing pit bulls in responsible permanent homes.

Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners

The Mission of the Luzerne County Pit Bull Owners Group is to bring together pit bull owners within Luzerne County and beyond so that we may assist in responsible dog ownership through information, support, and proper socialization. In addition to our educational efforts we rescue and rehome pit bulls so they are provided with a loving, responsible home.

Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter

Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter was founded in 2010 as a volunteer group devoted to supporting the animals of the Burlington county animal Shelter.

WV Pit Bull Haven

West Virginia Pit Bull Haven is the states only organization dedicated solely to the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier breeds. Our mission is to ensure APBTs and AmStaffs are protected from abusive and criminal owners. Each dog brought into WVPBH receives required vetting and medical care, basic obedience training and socialization. In other words, a second chance at finding a well-deserved home filled with the love and devotion the breeds require. With more than 20 years experience with the bully breeds, the founder of WVPBH designed a rescue program that partnered rescuing with educating. The original mission was simply to rescue dogs in need. But quickly it was realized that until the reputation was restored and the public was presented facts rather than media stories and common myths, qualified homes across the state would be a difficult task for a breed specific rescue. The need for rescue AND education went hand-in-hand, and WVPBH took the challenge without hesitation and implemented D.A.R.E.S. Through the D.A.R.E.S. program, we visit cities and counties statewide, as well as in neighboring states, providing successful programs designed to provide community safety from dangerous dogs of all breeds. As importantly, we promote protection for animals from cruel, neglectful and criminal owners by supporting and assisting law enforcement to ensure punishment and fines for the forgotten and injured dogs we pull from shelters.

Two Loons Dog Rescue

No one can save every animal but everyone can save one. Please be that person. Our mission is simple: we save dogs. Be it by rescuing, fostering, transporting, donating, fundraising, unchaining, etc., we save dogs. Its what we do. Because we are giant-hearted dog-loving loons. We love and cherish all breeds of dogs, but specialize in PIT BULLS and other bully breeds/bully mixes, including: American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, American Bulldog. We also do some case-by-case work with other breeds, particularly hounds. We do NOT have a kennel or shelter facility. All of our dogs are housed in volunteer foster homes located in one of our regional coverage areas. We do NOT accept owner surrenders except in extreme circumstances, and then only with the approval of our Executive Director. Please contact us for more information if you are needing to surrender a dog. ALL dogs are spayed/neutered before being adopted we do NOT adopt out unaltered dogs under any circumstances! Under absolutely NO circumstances will we allow ANY dog in our program to be involved in dog fighting or baiting of any type. Telephone interviews and home visits, along with thorough reference checks, including veterinary references, are required for ALL adoptions. We love our dogs and they are part of our families, and we believe all dogs deserve the same, so please understand why our application process is so thorough. We are ready, willing, and able to help with a variety of rescue services, including: shelter pull, fostering/foster coordination, adopting/adoption coordination, transporting/transport coordination, unchaining/unchaining coordination, coordination of veterinary care, fundraising, etc. however, please keep in mind that our resources and space are limited, and we are not able to accommodate every request, as much as we would like to. Thank you for your continued support!

BullyWag

BullyWag, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. We are licensed by the Department of Agriculture in the State of Georgia. BullyWag, Inc. began as mother and daughter wanting to do more to help change some peoples opinion of pit bull-type dogs. As time progressed, we became disappointed and frustrated with the huge numbers of pit bull-type dogs (or dogs that look like pit bull-type dogs) being euthanized in the state of Georgia. We then decided that our efforts should be somewhat re-focused to provide a positive look at pit bull-type dogs promoting and highlighting their outstanding qualities. (Pit bull is a term often used to identify several breeds including The American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog, Miniature and Standard Bull Terriers.) We do not have an actual sanctuary or shelter structure at this time, so we are unable to take in owner turn-ins or found dogs. The dogs that we do have for adoption are either in boarding or in a foster home. Ideally we would love to be able to take in every bully we come across, but we can only do so much at this time. We support and participate in dog transport which enables the dogs to travel state-to-state for rescue. If you are looking to rehome your dog, keep in mind that most legitimate rescues/shelters require that vaccinations be up to date and the dog must be spayed/neutered. You must be responsible for your pet by taking care of the basics to ensure the safe and successful rehoming and/or adoption of your pet. We are committed to saving our beloved canine friends, especially the beautiful bully breeds. The BullyWag statement Save a Pit is simple and to-the-point. The statement will also be Save a Pit, Give a Life when necessary. Our purpose is: to assist individuals and rescue groups in finding pit bull-type dogs responsible and loving forever homes; to provide useful resources to educate the community; to support humane euthanasia, STOP all use of gas chambers as a solution for pet overpopulation, with the ultimate goal of creating a No-Kill society; and to help restore the pit bull image as Americas Dogs

Peaceable Kingdom

We minimize animal overpopulation through low-cost spay/neuter clinics and we create community awareness and gain support of animal needs through educational efforts. The volunteers work extremely hard everyday allowing the dogs to get out multiple times in a day, give the animals so much love, allow them to have play time, toys, and soft blankets.

NOLA Lab Rescue

NOLA Labrador Retriever Rescue is a volunteer run, nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to placing Labrador Retrievers into approved, loving homes and promoting responsible pet ownership. Our mission is to provide permanent adoptive homes for unwanted, abandoned or abused labs; medical care and foster homes for rescued dogs; education to pet owners regarding spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership; and public information about irresponsible breeding practices and animal abuse in an effort to end both.

Humane Society of Houston County

Through volunteer networks we will provide foster care programs. We will offer adoptions and encourage a community No Kill Plan. In the near future, we plan to expand our abilities with a shelter, and hopefully, an area for spay/neuter and treatment.

Luv-A-Bull Rescue

For more than 20 years, we have been rescuing rehabilitating and re-homing animals who have no other means of help. We have kept hundreds of animals from being euthanized by rescuing them from death row. We have paid for veterinary treatments so that euthanasia is not an option. Please help us to save animals that have no other chance; and also help us in our efforts to educate the public about the specific breed and please help stop the animal abuse now before its too late for another helpless animal.
