What a wild weekend it was! The first topic of business is to discuss the Eagles collapse! Poor, Poor, Poor! What happened? All the Eagles could muster is a TOUCHDOWN pass from Michael Vick! That is sad and very disappointing! The former dog killer is the last one to score a TOUCHDOWN! Eagles fans, players, and all associated should be ashamed. It only goes to show that when you plan with Karma, Karma bites you right in the ass!

Once again, our friends at Carolina Care Bullies took the prize in a highly contested voting event! Carolina Care Bullies edged out Noble Ones Bully Breed Rescue and will take two FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toys for their efforts. Congratulations!

So what next for the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy Bark For Awareness Give Away? The Eagles are playing golf, so no more TOUCHDOWN’s to reward. So what do we do? Let me share some thoughts:

The Bark For Awareness Give Away was the brain child of my business partner. He deserves all the credit for what the give away was able to do. And what did it do? Hundreds of FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toys were awarded to registered organizations. There were no strings attached, no stipulations, no rules as to what had to be done with the FREE Official Dog Chew Toys. Our hopes were and are that this give away would help these tremendous organizations in their fund raising efforts. Through the multiple emails we have received, it is obvious that the Bark For Awareness Give Away did just that. Congratulations to all the winners in 2009!

Do we pack up and go home now? The Eagles are out, and once again Michael Vick is left with nothing but T-I-M-E to do until the next event.

To us at Aim To Beginn, LLC, the ONLY source of the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy, we did some soul searching. What has the Official Dog come to represent? What are the ties? What is the true spirit of the project? True, the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy was born out of a very horrendous act by a group of people lead by a single and very popular figure. However, Michael Vick did not invent animal abuse, nor was he the only perpetrator of crime. No more so than by putting Michael Vick in jail did we eliminate animal abuse. Say what you want about Michael Vick, but he and his organization were only the “in your face” version of an ongoing problem.

Aim To Beginn, LLC has used Michael Vick and his crimes to bring about awareness and help to give back to those organizations that help and care for discarded, abused and unwanted animals. The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy has been a vehicle that has allowed us to help. No more, no less. So where does the Official Dog go now? I personally believe that if you are true to your cause, YOU NEVER STOP!

Aim To Beginn, LLC is TRUE TO OUR CAUSE! So there is no way that we intend to stop. The Eagles and Michael Vick are done until September, but we play all year long! Why? Because no shelter, no affiliate, no activist group, no one that has adopted or cared for an abused animal has ever stopped! It is an ongoing, life long commitment and we have grown to know this, understand the struggles, accept and embrace the efforts! The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy is now a part of it, WE are a part of it, and there is no way we are going to leave, take a few months off, or stop the awareness and the fight!

That brings me to the next question: What can we continue to do?

Answer: More contests that will raise awareness, help organizations win FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toys, and help everyone continue the awareness of the endeavor by casting votes and getting the word out to the community. In short, THE BARK FOR AWARENESS GIVE AWAY MUST NOT STOP!
