Customer Testimonial ~ Hayley

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

This is my baby, Jewel, chowing down on your wonderful toy. This is one of the best ideas I’ve ever seen. I’m a professional pet sitter and board member for our local humane society. I officially adopted Jewel for Christmas last week after fostering her for over six months. I’ve always been partial to pits and hate their bad reputation. Jewel was taken from her previous home for mistreatment. Luckily she wasn’t a fighter, but she’d been bred a few times for puppies, had her ears cut off at home, had cigarette burns down her back, had been abused and was in very bad health, which included being severe heart worm positive. She is now a very happy, healthy girl, and is one of the best, sweetest dogs I’ve ever been around. I’m amazed she’s as great as she is considering what she had previously gone through.

Thank you for providing such an awesome dog toy. I had a great time watching her destroy it. Too bad it wasn’t the real thing!! That was always what I thought his punishment should have been; put in a cage with several fighting pitbulls and let them tear him to pieces.

Thank you,

Hayley & my JEWEL in the rough

BARK FOR AWARENESS GIVE AWAY ~ WEEK 16 WINNER

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Hello Vick Dog Chew Toy Fans!

Week 16 of the NFL season is in the books and so is Week 16 of the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy Bark For Awareness Give Away!

The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy hopes that everyone had a safe and happy Holiday. I want to thank each and every one of you that both purchased The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy and also those that registered your organization for the Bark For Awareness Give Away. We have been receiving TREMENDOUS attention regarding our efforts. This attention can and should be shared by all that participate in the FREE Official Dog giveaway.

As we move closer to the end of the NFL regular season, several factors come in to play. First, how far will the Eagles and Mike Vick go? The Eagles have had a very solid end to their regular season efforts. This is good news for all the Official Dog Bark For Awareness participants and followers. Remember, the contest continues as long as the Eagles play. Additionally, DO NOT forget about the special end of season contests that will be announced soon.

So, my Redskins once again fell short. Additionally, the hometown Jags failed to take advantage of their opportunity to control their own destiny. As far as Aim To Beginn, LLC goes, the only one’s cheering are The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy and the other half of your Aim To Beginn contributor. The Official Dog is obviously pleased that he has the chance to show his awareness through the post season and generate more attention to his ultimate goal of ending animal abuse. The other half of Aim To Beginn, my loyal and dedicated partner, is a Patriots fan. So I get to hear the Patriots chant more than I really care to hear. Both have reason to be pleased as we approach the playoffs.

So who won Week 16 of the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy Bark For Awareness? Voting was once again close and competitive. We now have 16 organizations bidding for votes! AWESOME! In the end, it came down to a 41% vote decision. The top vote getter for Week 16 is Carolina Care Bullies! Once again a repeat winner and an excellent example of what the Bark For Awareness Give Away stands for. Congratulations!

There are several new organizations that have joined the Bark For Awareness Give Away. Join me in welcoming the following:

Paws and Purrs Rescue, Inc. in Rochester, New York, is an all volunteer, not for profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of domestic animals. We will see to it that any animal we take in receives the needed medical attention and is placed in a loving foster home until they are adopted into a permanent home. We WILL NOT euthanize unless health issues necessitate such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered and receive age-appropriate vaccinations. Cats/kittens are combo tested for FIV and FeLV and dogs/puppies are treated for heartworm as needed.

I want to thank everyone that has joined us in our efforts to raise awareness and give back. Your continued interest, dedication and involvement is what helps keep us going. I also want to encourage every organization to get out to your supporters and rally the vote! Use our message and exposure to add to the exposure your organization needs and receives. Encourage your group to vote for your organization. Just a few votes will make the difference and will aid you in gaining awareness around your efforts. We do this for you because of what you do for our beloved pets! Take advantage please!

On to the score: IN what turned out to be a fantastic game, the Eagles scored 3 TD’s to take the win over the Broncos. Dog bit Vick did not play into the decision so Carolina Care Bullies will receive 3 FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toys to add to what is soon becoming a season leading total! Congratulations!

See you next week for The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy Bark For Awareness Give Away Regular Season Finale. Don’t forget, voting is active and ready!

The Next Entry: The Split – Chapter 3

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Hello Vick Dog Chew Toy Fans! I appreciate your continued support and hope that you, your family and friends are having a enjoyable and safe Holiday season.

I appreciate your patience with the postings. Certainly the time of the year takes much, if not all, of any available time any of us have. The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy has been VERY busy with the Bark For Awareness efforts and are very proud of the charitable work we have been able to do. If you have not read about the activity associated with this endeavour I encourage you to do so. Votes, YOUR votes, help to raise awareness through charitable organizations and FREE Official Vick Dog Chew Toys.

I have also received many messages associated with this blog. Mainly, when is the next update coming. Well, read forward and you will have the next update. One item I do want to clarify is this: the Official Story of the Official Dog is a historical recount of how the Official Vick Dog Chew Toy was created and came to life. At this point in the story, we are at or around early 2008.

I appreciate your interest in my story.

To bring you up to speed, this is entry three in what I am calling, “The Split”. My insistence on a safe product that meets the original concept advertised, and subsequent insistence that no compromise be made was a driving force behind a split within my organization.

Once it was clear that the rogue partner was going his own way with intent, funds, and intellectual property, the following happened:

1) The website we developed, promoted, and captured all sales from was gone. It was now in the hands of the rogue employee.
2) The rogue employee immediately used the website to change the product that was going to be shipped. A new product was now advertised.
3) The new product was the one that I initially rejected when the rogue partner tried to promote a dog chew toy while waiting for The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy to be created and shipped.
4) Shipping to those that had ordered and had been waiting for our product commenced. Instead of the product that was originally advertised, the product that I was still working through delivery, a solid cavity, hard rubber toy that bore no resemblance to The Official Vick Dog Chew Toy reached the hands of those that placed orders.

The rogue partner found an alternative manufacturer that quickly produced the toy. Since I owned the rights to the original mold this alternative Vick dog chew toy could not resemble the original product advertised. I continued to hold the rights to the main communication channel, the contact email box, so I was privy to the initial reaction.

An outpouring of discontent immediately followed shipment of this imposter product. Consumers that were originally content with waiting for the product they had originally purchased were immediately calling for a refund once they receive this imposter product. These second hand products were shipped to as many original consumers as inventory could support. Upset customers by the hundreds expressed their outrage.

How do we handle this? Consumers have no idea and no care for what was going on internally at Aim To Beginn. All they wanted was the product we advertised and they paid for. We have the product; the rogue employee has the funds. This is a very awkward situation.

How we attacked this is the subject of the next entry. I appreciate your interest in my story.
