We have been reviewing emails from people receiving knock off products of the chew toy. We are responding to those emails to be careful about knock off products, since we don’t know if they have been tested for any safety concerns for your pet.

Fennelly-Trudo said she’s glad to finally have it, and admits it looks a lot like Vick.  But she says it’s smaller than she envisioned (6.5 inches tall), harder than she had hoped (she knocked it on a table with a loud “thump” to demonstrate) and it smells bad (“like a tire,” she said).  There’s also a warning attached, telling owners to supervise their dogs while playing with the toy and remove it if any parts become loose or detached.  Fennelly-Trudo said the plastic football will break off quickly if dogs chew vigorously.  Stan(Fennelly-Trudo’s Dog’s Name), at age 9, is not a vigorous chewer.  To get Stan interested in the toy, Fennelly-Trudo had to smother it in peanut butter.  “He went to town on the peanut butter,” Fennelly-Trudo said. Once the peanut butter was gone, however, “Stan didn’t like it.”
